Increase the Value of Your Property

I always recommend my close ones to maintain their home with love and care.

It is no doubt that a well-maintained home tends to sell faster and for a higher price. That being said, if your home is in a good condition, it will make the renovation work much easier and more efficient (ie: painting on the wall without having to fill & sand & deep clean before the actual paint job.)

HERE ARE SOME COST-EFFECTIVE TIPS FROM US TO YOU

  1. Before you sell, consider having a fresh coat of paint.

The key point here is to choose a lighter colour scheme, so that your home will look newer and perhaps brighter and more spacious. If you live in a smaller space, you might want to consider staying uniform on the colour so it doesn’t overwhelm the potential Buyer. A fresh coat of paint could also cover existing odours!

  2. Be on top of your cleaning game.

Procrastination is like credit card. It's a lot of fun until you get the bill.” It is okay to take it easy at times, but try to have a light cleaning done on a regular basis and a deep cleaning every now and then. The more you do it, the easier it gets, and who doesn’t love a cleanliness home?

  3. Declutter.

Like the last point, don’t leave everything until the day you sell your home. When selling your home, store unnecessary items away. Post for sale items through Craigslist, Facebook Market etc. or donate your used items to the charities.

  4. Light fixtures & light bulbs.

Trust me when I tell you they make a lot of differences. If we are on a tight budget, start from changing the light bulbs. Each room should have the same (if not, similar) light source. Not too yellow (might feel outdated) and not too white (might sore peoples’ eyes) Consider adding a new lighting fixture if you have an outdated style.

  5. Home staging helps.

Your furniture could be out of style or just not the right size to fit the space. Staging can be critical, because it gives the Buyers a positive visualization of your property. You don’t always have to stage the entire home too!

  6. Speak with a Realtor.

If you are still struggling on where to start, I will be more than happy to provide guidance on how to increase the value of your home.

Remember, increasing the value of your property can be simple!
